    Our vision and mission is a world in which no animal is exploited for the benefit of humans, and all our work focuses on inspiring people to become and stay vegan.
  • Brief history

    The Vegan Society was founded by Donald Watson who also coined the term vegan in 1944 and since then we have made tremendous progress. The Vegan Society continues to hold true to the vision of our founding members as we work towards a world in which humans do not exploit other animals.
