    To challenge and develop young people, particularly the least advantaged, by providing life changing experiences and skills that create self-belief and motivation to re-define their self-image, attitude and horizons in order to inspire and maximise their long-term potential.
  • Brief history

    Excelsior is a 99 year old historic sailing ship, rescued from Norway in 1971, returned to Lowestoft and fully restored. Commissioned for use as a sail training vessel in 1989.
