To maintain the education standards retention of the services of our teaching staff is key. Our feeding programme is solely dependant on donations received, we are trying to market our profile to gain a wider band of supporters. We are seeking new funding partners to help fund these activities.
Our feeding programme which costs a minimum of £6000 per year.
New school uniforms cost approximately £700 per year.
New books required each year at minimum cost of £500.
Children do benefit from visitors to the school, giving a different perspective.
Introduce new children to the kindergarten class each year
Provide one meal per day for every child
Help 20 students each year progress to secondary education
We managed to find a sponsor for text book funding for the last academic year
Middleton Rotary club funded the new uniforms last year
Have just come to the end of a grant for the feeding programme & are searching for a new funder (s).
Our impact on the local community of Shanzu, through education, gives the children a good start in life and gives them hope for the future.
To advance education of pupils attending Mikoroshoni Primary School (Shanzu village, Kenya), one of the poorest communities in Mombasa with families living in dire poverty, by the provision of equipment, facilities & amenities which would not otherwise be provided. To give them hope for the future.
